LGBT Tech was recently recognized as an endorsing organization in the reintroduction of the International Human Rights Defense Act (IHRDA), a bill led by Congressman Robert Garcia and Senator Ed Markey designed to enhance protections for LGBTQ+ individuals globally. The legislation seeks to create a permanent “Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTQ+ Peoples” and ensure that U.S. foreign policy proactively confronts discrimination, violence, and criminalization targeting
