On Friday, May 15, 2020, the Washington Blade, America's oldest and third largest LGBTQ+ newspaper, published an op-ed titled "How technology can reduce isolation for LGBTQ elders." Co-authored by Carlos Gutierrez, LGBT Tech's Deputy Director and General Counsel, and Debra Berlyn, Executive Director for the Project to Get Older Adults onLine (Project GOAL), the op-ed discusses how social isolation impacts the health of LGBTQ+ adults - a demographic that statistically experiences higher levels of social isolation that other groups.
