Today, I am proud to recognize the tremendous accomplishments of LGBT Tech board member, Dr. Imani Woody. This evening in Washington, D.C., SAGE honors Dr. Imani Woody for being a pioneer and advocate for women, people of color and LGBT/Same Gender Loving issues for more than 20 years.
For me, she has been a guiding light and a mentor as she has served on the board of LGBT Tech. As we've grown the organization, research and programs, she has been a true champion for LGBTQ elders around technology, highlighting the unique needs they face and how technology can reduce their isolation. It is because of Imani that we expanded our PowerOn Program to welcome SAGE in New York this year and we look forward to installing two computers labs for LGBTQ seniors later this year.
