Don't Block LGBT Act of 2016
Be A Part of History!
Deadline: Wed. Sept. 28th at 5:00pm
Two years ago, LGBT Tech lead the charge with Rep. Mike Honda, LGBTQ Center's, National LGBTQ Organizations and 17 other members of congress to send a letter to the Federal Communications Commission to ensure that our public schools and libraries provide resources for ALL students and community members but expressing concerns over the troubling implementation of filters for those facilities that receive E-rate funding. LGBT Tech has continued to collect information about districts blocking websites and raise awareness of the issues this filtering causes.
This week, Rep. Mike Honda from California will introduce the Don't Block LGBT Act of 2016 and we'd like to list your organization in support of this bill. Please consider signing your organization to this act in support the thousands of LGBTQ youth who rely on access to the Internet. The Don't Block LGBT Act of 2016 will be introduced to the House Floor by Friday, September, 30, 2016.
